Geoffrey Campbell killed on 28/02/1985 aged 24 One of 9 RUC members killed by an IRA mortar that struck a mobile canteen at Newry police station. From Dromara, he served as a Reserve and had only been in one month. He was married at the time. Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC)

Joseph Campbell killed on 25/02/1977 aged 49 Sergeant Campbell was shot as he locked up Cushendall RUC station, a quiet seaside resort. He is reported to have been a very community oriented policeman, with little regard for his personal safety. Robert Harrison killed on 05/02/1977 aged 50 Shot by a gunman using a passing car while on Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) patrol, Gilford, County Down. Robert was in the RUC Reserve. He and fellow reservist Jimmy Davidson were checking out a report that an incendiary device had been placed in a local shop. Mervyn Johnson killed on 15/02/1993 aged 38 Off duty. Shot outside his home, Highfern Gardens, Highfield, Belfast. Shot by the IRA in Belfast as he was wheeling a child’s bicycle to his mother in laws house a few doors from his own home. A car drew along side an a gunman fired hitting Mervyn four times. A second gunman then got out of the car and fired three more rounds from very close range into his head. He was married with two children and off duty at the time of his death. Patrick Kerr killed on 17/02/1985 aged 37 Mr Kerr was shot as he left St Patrick’s cathedral in Armagh with his wife and children. A few years earlier, his home had been attacked by gunmen. Mr Kerr was holder of the British Empire Medal. Joined the Northern Ireland Prison Service in July 1969 and served for over 15 years until his murder by the IRA. Patrick Mackin killed on 04/02/1979 aged 60 Mr Mackin and his wife (Violet, aged 58) were both shot dead by the IRA in the same incident at their home , Oldpark Road, Belfast.Their bodies, were found the following morning by their son, his wife and two young children. A man was later jailed for life for the double killing. Joined the Northern Ireland Prison Service in August 1951 and had served for over 27 years when he retired in November 1978. Gordon Wilson killed on 21/02/1983 aged 29 Killed by an IRA bomb (approx 50lb) hidden behind the door of a derelict bar. The remote controlled device was fired as he stood outside the Albert Bar in Lower English Street, Armagh. A sergeant in the MSU, he was married with a six week old daughter. He was providing cover while a colleague went to buy food for the patrol at a chip shop around 8:20pm. Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC)
